Oh here we go...
The "groups" that got Ballard elected are already complaining.
As a regular listener to Abdul's radio show this morning, I listened to a caller complain about Ballard. The Mayor-Elect attended the State GOP Holiday Party last night. And this lady called in to gripe.

She talked about how Ballard has already forgotten who got him elected, he has not recognized these people and he is getting wishy washy on his stances.
Abdul pointed out that he hasn't even taken office! He can't do two of the three things she complained about.
Basically the caller was upset that Ballard has (allegedly) snubbed his base and his hob knobing now with Party snobs. Heck, she even mentioned Ballard attending the Indiana Society of Chicago meeting last week.
Love Abdul's response: "Just what do you want from (Ballard)?"
This is typical. What do these people want?
You got him elected and like special interest groups (because let's face it, they are!), they want their attention.
Ballard was on the tv news last night, firm on his stance on elimination of property taxes. Ballard has not changed on that. But one month later, these groups already feel that he has turned his back on them.
We all need to realize that Mayor Ballard will need some time to get rolling. He won't just jump in January 1st and make all these changes within four hours.
Give the man a break and a chance.
